Modaheal 200 mg Review: Is Healing Pharma's Modafinil Worth Buying?
Modaheal turns up on a lot of modafinil vendor menus without much explanation. It isn't one of the famous names like Modalert or Modvigil, and most pages selling it reuse the same few paragraphs. So we did what we'd do before spending our own money: we checked who makes it, what it costs, what the store says about it and which of those statements hold up.
How this review works: on November 1, 2026 we went through Afinil's Modaheal 200 mg page line by line, recorded every price tier, the review count and rating, and the claims made in the description. We checked the manufacturer against the company's own website and Indian pharmacy listings, and compared Afinil's medical statements with the US prescribing information for Provigil (modafinil). Nobody on our team has taken Modaheal, so there are no personal effect reports here. Read this as a buyer's guide, not medical advice.
Modaheal 200 mg at a glance
- What it is: a 200 mg modafinil tablet, sold as a generic version of Provigil.
- Maker: Healing Pharma India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai.
- Price at Afinil: $39 for 10 tablets up to $799 for 500, with $199 for 100.
- Per tablet: $3.99 at the smallest pack, $1.99 at 100 and $1.59 at 500.
- Store reviews: 6, averaging 4.8 out of 5.
- Largest pack: 500 tablets.
- US status: prescription-only Schedule IV drug; Modaheal is not FDA-approved.
Short version: Modaheal comes from a real, findable company and has a small but positive review record. What it doesn't have is a price advantage. Afinil charges Modalert money for it, and HAB's Modvigil is cheaper at every size.
Who makes Modaheal?
Afinil's product description calls the maker "Healing Pharmacy" in one paragraph and "Healing Pharma" in the specification box. The second is right. Healing Pharma India Pvt Ltd is a pharmaceutical company with offices at Western Edge II in Borivali East, Mumbai, and its website lists Modaheal 200 among its products with uses, dosing and side-effect notes.
Indian online pharmacies list the same product. MediBuddy, for example, shows Modaheal 200mg Tablet as a prescription (Rx) item, sold in strips of 10 tablets of modafinil 200 mg, with Healing Pharma India named as the manufacturer at the same Mumbai address. Several European and Australian resellers also list it under Healing Pharma.
That matters more than it sounds. With a lot of budget modafinil brands, the maker is either vague or impossible to trace. Here the company exists, has a public address, and the product appears in India's regular pharmacy market as well as the export trade. It doesn't prove anything about a particular batch, but it's a better starting point than many brands get.
How big is Healing Pharma?
Much smaller than Sun Pharma or Cipla. It's a mid-sized Indian generics company that sells a broad catalogue under its own brand names, many of them ending in "-heal". There's no sign of a US business or FDA-approved products under the Healing Pharma name, which is normal for this kind of company and one reason its tablets reach US buyers only through overseas vendors.
Indian price versus Afinil price
On Indian pharmacy sites, a strip of 10 Modaheal 200 tablets was listed at roughly ₹195 to ₹235 when we looked. That's a few US dollars for 10 tablets, compared with $39 for 10 at Afinil. Export vendors always charge well above domestic Indian prices, since they're covering shipping, reships, payment risk and their own margin, so this isn't unusual. But it shows that the price you pay has little to do with what the tablet costs to make, and a lot to do with which brand name the store decides to price high.
Modaheal prices at Afinil
These are the prices shown on November 1, 2026. Vendor prices move without notice, so check the live listing before you buy.
| Pack | Price | Per tablet | "Regular" price shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 tablets | $39 | $3.99 | $39 |
| 20 tablets | $69 | $3.49 | $90 |
| 30 tablets | $89 | $2.99 | $120 |
| 50 tablets | $119 | $2.39 | $150 |
| 100 tablets | $199 | $1.99 | $300 |
| 200 tablets | $349 | $1.69 | $600 |
| 300 tablets | $499 | $1.66 | $900 |
| 500 tablets | $799 | $1.59 | $1,500 |
Things to notice
- Steep at first, flat later. The per-tablet price halves between 10 and 100 tablets. After 100 it barely moves: going from 100 to 500 only saves 40 cents a tablet.
- The "Sale!" badge. The crossed-out "regular" prices make it look like Modaheal is heavily discounted. The same struck-through prices appear on several other Afinil listings, so we'd ignore them and compare the actual price only.
- Same ladder as the big names. Modaheal's prices match Afinil's Modalert, Modawake and Modafresh listings exactly from 10 to 500 tablets. Modalert also has a 1,000-pack that Modaheal doesn't.
How it compares with other Afinil brands
| Brand (maker) | 10 tablets | 100 tablets | 500 tablets | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Modaheal (Healing Pharma) | $39 | $199 | $799 | 6 |
| Modalert (Sun Pharma) | $39 | $199 | $799 | 14 |
| Modawake (HAB Pharma) | $39 | $199 | $799 | 2 |
| Modvigil (HAB Pharma) | $29 | $169 | $499 | 16 |
All figures were taken from Afinil on November 1, 2026. Modvigil wins on price at each size, and also has the most reviews of the four. That's the main reason Modaheal is hard to recommend on value alone.
What a typical order might cost (illustration only)
Say a prescription user takes one tablet on about three days a week, roughly 150 tablets a year. A 200-pack of Modaheal at $349 would cover that with some to spare. The same 200-pack of Modvigil was $279, a $70 difference. If you only ever buy 10-packs, you'd pay $585 for 150 Modaheal tablets against $435 for Modvigil. These are rough sums from the table above, only meant to show the scale, and they leave out shipping, coupons and expiry.
What Afinil says about Modaheal, and what holds up
Product descriptions on export vendor sites are written to sell, and Modaheal's page is no exception. Here's how its main statements compare with the US prescribing information.
Claims that don't hold up
- "It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is safe for use." This is wrong. Modaheal is not an FDA-approved drug. The modafinil that the FDA has approved is Provigil and the US generics that have gone through FDA review. A tablet made for the Indian and export market doesn't inherit that approval just because it contains the same ingredient.
- "Modaheal is not addictive; it is safe." Modafinil is a federal Schedule IV controlled substance. Its US label has a section on abuse potential and dependence, and notes that it can produce effects similar to other stimulants. "Low risk compared with some drugs" is one thing; "not addictive" is a claim the label doesn't support.
- "Buy Cheap Modaheal 200mg online OTC" and "Without Rx" in the page title. In the US, modafinil is prescription-only. A vendor calling it OTC doesn't make it so.
Claims that are roughly right
- What it treats. The page lists narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea and shift work sleep disorder, which match the US label. It also mentions insomnia, which isn't an approved use; modafinil keeps people awake and can cause trouble sleeping.
- How to take it. One tablet in the morning for narcolepsy or sleep apnea, or about an hour before a shift for shift work disorder, is in line with the label.
- 400 mg isn't better. The page says 400 mg a day may add no benefit over 200 mg. The label agrees that higher doses were tolerated in studies without consistent extra benefit.
- Duration. "12 to 15 hours" is a reasonable summary. The label puts the effective half-life at about 15 hours with repeated use.
Claims to treat as marketing
- "Increasing alertness, focus, creativity, memory." Wakefulness is what modafinil is approved for. Claims about creativity and memory in healthy people rest on mixed research and aren't part of the label.
- "Gradually increasing in popularity." Six reviews don't tell you much either way.
Two smaller inconsistencies
- Free samples. The page invites you to "get a free sample from us" of Modaheal. The trial packs in Afinil's own menu are Modvigil and Artvigil, so it isn't clear a Modaheal sample is actually on offer. Our review of Afinil's free samples explains how the trial offers work.
- Free shipping. The page says express shipping is free when you buy 100 Modaheal tablets or spend over $180, while the box under the price says orders over $130 ship free. Check which one your cart applies.
None of these is a red flag about the tablets themselves. They do show that the page was written by a sales team rather than a pharmacist, which is worth remembering when it talks about safety.
What the US label says about modafinil
The active ingredient is what decides how Modaheal should be used, and the best public source on that is the FDA-approved Provigil prescribing information. A plain-English summary:
- Approved uses. Improving wakefulness in adults with excessive sleepiness from narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea or shift work disorder. In sleep apnea it's added to treatment of the underlying problem, such as CPAP, not used instead of it.
- Dose. 200 mg once a day. Taken in the morning for narcolepsy or sleep apnea, or about an hour before the start of a shift for shift work disorder.
- When it peaks. Blood levels reach their highest about 2 to 4 hours after a dose. Taking it with food can delay this by around an hour without changing how much is absorbed overall.
- How long it stays. An effective half-life of about 15 hours with repeated dosing, so a late-day dose is likely to interfere with sleep.
- Common side effects. Headache is the most common, followed by things like nausea, nervousness, runny nose, back pain, diarrhea, anxiety, insomnia, dizziness and upset stomach.
- Serious warnings. Rare but severe skin rashes and allergic reactions have been reported; the label says to stop at the first sign of a rash and get medical help. It also covers psychiatric symptoms and heart-related cautions.
- Birth control. Modafinil can make hormonal contraceptives less effective during use and for a month afterwards.
Afinil's page has its own long list of interactions and side effects. We'd rely on your prescriber or pharmacist rather than a vendor list, especially if you take other medicines or have a heart, liver or mental health condition.
Brand doesn't change the drug, but tablets can differ
Every 200 mg modafinil brand carries the same label facts, because the active ingredient is the same. What can differ is everything else in the tablet: fillers, binders, coatings and how tightly it's pressed. Those affect how quickly it dissolves. In the US, approved generics have to show bioequivalence to Provigil. Modaheal hasn't been through that process, so there's no public evidence on how closely it matches. A traceable maker reduces the uncertainty. It doesn't remove it.
Modaheal vs other common brands
Modaheal vs Modalert
Same price ladder on Afinil from 10 to 500 tablets, same labelled strength. Modalert comes from Sun Pharma, one of India's largest drugmakers, has more than twice as many store reviews and adds a 1,000-tablet pack. Afinil's Modalert page also carries a warning about future export problems that we couldn't confirm. If price is equal, most buyers will lean toward the brand with more history, which is Modalert. Our ModaXL vs Modalert comparison covers Modalert in more depth.
Modaheal vs Modvigil
Modvigil, from HAB Pharma, is cheaper at every pack size and has the most reviews of the brands in our table. Unless you have a specific reason to want Modaheal, Modvigil is the better value of the two. See where to buy Modvigil for its pricing and listings.
Modaheal vs ModaXL
ModaXL is Afinil's in-house 200 mg brand. It sits on the same $3.99-to-$1.59 style ladder as Modaheal and is also the product behind Afinil's US-to-US shipping option. If faster US delivery matters, ModaXL is the one to look at. Our ModaXL 200 mg review goes through it.
Modaheal vs the budget brands
Brands such as Modfil and Modvigil sit on a lower price ladder at Afinil, starting from $29 for 10. They're the obvious choice if cost per tablet is what you care about most. Our Modfil 200 mg review is a good example of what that budget tier looks like.
How much weight to give six reviews
Afinil showed six Modaheal reviews averaging 4.8 stars on November 1, 2026, verified through the Yotpo review system the store uses. That sounds good, and it's better than nothing, but it's worth being realistic about what it can tell you.
- The sample is tiny. Six people is not enough to spot a bad batch, a packaging change or a slow-shipping month. One unhappy buyer would shift the average noticeably.
- Reviews are mostly about the order. On vendor sites, many reviews talk about delivery speed and customer service rather than the tablet. That's useful information about the store, not proof of what's in the strip.
- Reviewers are rewarded. Afinil offers $30 off a future order for leaving a review. That doesn't make the reviews fake, but it does mean the people who write them are partly motivated by a discount.
- Compare with the bigger brands. Modalert had 14 reviews and Modvigil 16 on the same day. Neither is a huge number, but both give you more to go on.
A more useful check than the star rating is what turns up in your own first order. A clean strip with a clear batch number, maker name and expiry date tells you more about a particular shipment than any review page can.
Questions worth asking about any lesser-known brand
Modaheal isn't the only modafinil brand most buyers have never heard of. If you're weighing up any of them, these questions help sort the reasonable options from the risky ones:
- Can you find the maker outside the vendor's own site? For Modaheal, yes: the company website and Indian pharmacy listings both name Healing Pharma India.
- Is the product sold in its home market? Modaheal appears on Indian pharmacy sites as a prescription item, which suggests it isn't an export-only label.
- Does the vendor price it fairly against similar brands? Here the answer is less flattering. Modaheal costs the same as Modalert and more than Modvigil.
- Does the product page make claims that are plainly wrong? Modaheal's does, with its FDA approval line. That's a point against the page, not necessarily the tablet, but it should make you read every other claim more carefully.
- Is there a legal route for you? In the US, only a prescription makes buying modafinil legal, whichever brand you choose.
On those five questions, Modaheal does well on the first two and poorly on the third and fourth. That's a fair summary of the whole product.
Who Modaheal suits, and who should skip it
It can make sense if
- You've been prescribed modafinil and Modaheal has worked for you before. Sticking with a tablet you know can be worth more than saving a few dollars.
- You want a maker you can look up. Healing Pharma has a public address and its product appears in India's domestic pharmacy market, which is more than some budget brands offer.
- You're buying a small trial pack. At $39 for 10, the price is the same as Modalert's, so there's no premium for trying it.
It's probably not the best pick if
- You're buying on price. Modvigil and the budget brands are cheaper at every size.
- You want a long review record. Six reviews is a thin base to judge from.
- You need tablets quickly inside the US. Modaheal ships from overseas. The domestic USPS shipping review explains Afinil's faster US option, which is built around ModaXL.
- You want a fully legal route. That's a prescription filled at a US pharmacy with FDA-approved generic modafinil. Our guide to getting a modafinil prescription online covers how telehealth prescribing works.
If you decide to order
If you have a prescription and want to try Modaheal:
- Buy the smallest pack first. A 10-pack is $39. It's enough to check what arrives and how the packaging looks.
- Check the strip carefully. It should show "Modaheal 200", modafinil 200 mg, Healing Pharma India as the maker, a batch number, a manufacturing date and an expiry date. If any of that is missing, contact the store before taking anything.
- Don't overbuy. The big per-tablet saving happens by 100 tablets. Packs beyond that only make sense if you'll use them all well before the expiry date.
- Store it properly. Keep tablets in their original strips at room temperature, out of reach of children, and keep the outer carton until you've finished.
Shipping, payment and discounts
Afinil says orders placed by 5 pm Pacific ship the same day, and it advertises a 30-day guarantee plus reshipment if a parcel goes missing; our reshipment policy explainer covers the conditions. Parcels from overseas can take one to several weeks. Payment options shown on the page are cards, PayPal and Bitcoin. The store advertises 24% off for Bitcoin payments, $25 off for returning customers and $30 off for leaving a review. Our Bitcoin payment guide and modafinil coupon page explain how those offers stack. If you're unsure about the store itself, our look at whether Afinil is a legit vendor covers its track record.
Legal notes for US readers
Modafinil is a Schedule IV controlled substance in the US, and you need a valid prescription from a licensed US prescriber to obtain it. Modaheal is not FDA-approved, despite what the product page says. Phrases like "OTC" and "Without Rx" on a vendor site don't change the law, and customs can seize parcels sent without the right paperwork. Our explainer on whether buying modafinil is legal sets out the rules.
Verdict
Modaheal 200 mg is a real product from a real company. Healing Pharma India is traceable, the tablet is sold in India's ordinary pharmacy market, and Afinil's six reviews are positive. The problems are on the selling side, not the tablet side. Afinil prices Modaheal exactly like Modalert, its description wrongly calls the drug FDA-approved and "not addictive", and HAB's Modvigil costs less at every size with more reviews behind it. If you have a prescription and Modaheal has worked for you, there's no reason to avoid it. If you're choosing fresh, Modalert gives you more history for the same price and Modvigil gives you a lower one.

FAQ
Who makes Modaheal 200 mg?
Healing Pharma India Pvt Ltd, a drug company based in Borivali East, Mumbai. Afinil names Healing Pharma as the manufacturer, and the company's own website and Indian pharmacy listings show Modaheal 200 as its modafinil product.
How much does Modaheal cost at Afinil?
On November 1, 2026 Afinil listed it from $39 for 10 tablets ($3.99 each) to $799 for 500 ($1.59 each). A 100-pack was $199, or $1.99 a tablet. Check the live page, since prices change.
Is Modaheal FDA-approved?
No. Afinil's product page says it is, but Modaheal isn't an FDA-approved drug. The FDA-approved modafinil products in the US are Provigil and its approved generics, which you get with a prescription from a licensed pharmacy.
Is Modaheal as good as Modalert?
Both are listed as 200 mg of modafinil, so similar effects are a reasonable expectation. There's no published study comparing the two brands, and neither has been through FDA bioequivalence review, so nobody can say for sure that they behave identically.
Is Modaheal cheaper than Modvigil?
No. On Afinil, Modvigil was cheaper at every size we checked: $29 for 10 against $39 for Modaheal, $169 for 100 against $199, and $499 for 500 against $799.
How long does Modaheal last?
Afinil says 12 to 15 hours. The US Provigil label gives an effective half-life of about 15 hours with repeated dosing, which is why it's taken in the morning or before a shift. How long you notice it varies from person to person.
Is Modaheal addictive?
Afinil's page says it isn't. The Provigil label is more careful: modafinil is a Schedule IV controlled substance and the label discusses abuse potential and dependence. Use it only as prescribed.
Can I get a free Modaheal sample?
The Modaheal page mentions free samples, but the free trial packs Afinil lists in its menu are Modvigil and Artvigil. Ask the store before ordering if you want a sample of Modaheal specifically.
Do I need a prescription to buy Modaheal in the US?
Yes. Modafinil is prescription-only and federally controlled in the US. Vendor labels like "OTC" or "Without Rx" don't change that, and importing it without a prescription isn't a legal route.
