Modvigil + Artvigil Budget Combo Pack: An Honest Review

· · Fact-checked October 2026 · How we review

What is inside the Modvigil and Artvigil combo pack
The two HAB Pharma products in the Budget Combo Pack

Bulk bundles are easy to like on paper. The Modvigil + Artvigil Budget Combo Pack promises two drugs in one order at a lower price per tablet, from the same Indian manufacturer. Afinil pitches it as a way to compare modafinil and armodafinil and save money at the same time. Both claims deserve a closer look, because the pack only makes sense for a fairly narrow group of buyers.

We've used Afinil's combo pack listing and its separate Modvigil and Artvigil 150 listings, all checked on October 22, 2026, plus the FDA labels for Provigil and Nuvigil. We haven't bought the pack ourselves.

What you actually get

  • Modvigil 200 mg: modafinil, HAB Pharma's generic of Provigil.
  • Artvigil 150 mg: armodafinil, HAB Pharma's generic of Nuvigil.
  • Default split: Afinil says it ships 50% of each unless you specify your preference.
  • Not included: Modalert, Waklert and sublingual Modafil MD. For Sun Pharma brands, Afinil points buyers to its separate Saver Pack, which we cover in our Modafinil/Armodafinil Saver Pack review.

Both products come from the same company, which is part of the appeal: one maker, one style of packaging, one set of strips to check.

Listed prices

The combo pack starts at 100 tablets. On October 22, 2026 Afinil listed:

PackListed pricePer tablet
100 tablets$169$1.69
200 tablets$279$1.39
300 tablets$399$1.33
500 tablets$499$0.99
1,000 tablets$899$0.89
2,000 tablets$1,699$0.85
5,000 tablets$3,999$0.79

Afinil also advertised its 24% crypto discount on this product; see our bitcoin payment guide for how that works. Treat these as a snapshot: the cart shows the real total.

Does the combo actually save money?

Here's the part the product page doesn't spell out. Modvigil and Artvigil 150 each sit on the same budget price ladder at Afinil, and at 100 tablets each costs $169, the same as the 100-tablet combo. At 500, all three cost $499. So if you compare equal quantities, the combo is not cheaper per tablet than a single-brand pack.

Where it does save is when you want both drugs and would otherwise buy two smaller packs. A worked example using the October 22 listings:

  • 50 Modvigil ($99) plus 50 Artvigil ($99) bought separately: $198.
  • 100-tablet combo pack, split 50/50: $169.
  • Difference: $29 in the combo's favor.

The same logic applies further up the ladder: two 100-tablet packs ($338) against a 200-tablet combo ($279). That's the real benefit, and it's a genuine one for people who keep both drugs on hand. The tiers above 1,000 tablets are another matter; they tie up a lot of money in stock that has an expiry date.

The "compare both" pitch

Afinil suggests the pack is a good way to find out whether modafinil or armodafinil suits you better. In principle that's reasonable: the two drugs are close relatives, armodafinil is the longer-lasting R form of modafinil, and some people do prefer one over the other.

In practice, 100 tablets is a large first order. If you've never taken either drug, a 10-tablet pack of one is a cheaper, lower-risk start, and our free samples review covers another way to try before committing. The combo makes more sense once you already know both are tolerable.

Never test them by taking both on the same day. They do the same job, so doubling up just doubles the dose. If you do try both, use them on separate days and keep a short note of how you sleep that night.

How each drug is dosed

From the US labels:

  • Modafinil (Modvigil): 200 mg once in the morning for narcolepsy or obstructive sleep apnea; for shift work disorder, about an hour before the shift.
  • Armodafinil (Artvigil 150): 150 mg or 250 mg once in the morning for narcolepsy or sleep apnea; 150 mg about an hour before a shift.

Both have a half-life of roughly 15 hours, so taking either later in the day can disrupt sleep. Your doctor should decide which drug and dose fit your situation.

Side effects worth knowing

Headache, nausea, dizziness and insomnia appear among the most common side effects on both labels. More serious, and rarer, are dangerous skin rashes, allergic swelling, psychiatric symptoms and heart symptoms such as chest pain or palpitations; any of these means stopping and getting medical help. Both drugs can also make hormonal contraception less effective, during use and for a month after the last dose. See our medical disclaimer.

Shipping a bulk order

Afinil says orders above 360 tablets are split into several parcels to reduce customs problems, and that failed deliveries get a refund or reshipment. Larger combo tiers will therefore arrive in pieces, possibly on different days. For US delivery details, see our US domestic USPS shipping review.

Legal reality

A bigger order means bigger exposure. In the US, both drugs are Schedule IV controlled substances, and importing them without a prescription is illegal. Afinil's "OTC" label isn't accurate for US buyers, and a multi-parcel bulk order is more likely to draw attention at customs than a small one. Our legal notes and prescription guide explain your options.

Who should and shouldn't buy it

It can make sense if you:

  • already know both modafinil and armodafinil suit you,
  • have a prescription and a doctor's okay for both,
  • would otherwise buy two separate packs.

Skip it if you:

  • have never tried either drug,
  • only use one of them (a single-brand pack costs the same per tablet),
  • are tempted by the 2,000- or 5,000-tablet tiers just because the unit price is lower.

Verdict

The Modvigil + Artvigil Budget Combo Pack is an honest bundle with a narrow use. It doesn't lower the per-tablet price compared with a single-brand pack of the same size, but it does beat buying two smaller packs. For someone with a prescription who already uses both drugs, the 100- or 200-tablet tier is sensible. For anyone else, start small with one product.

FAQ

What's in the Modvigil + Artvigil Budget Combo Pack?

Modvigil 200 mg (modafinil) and Artvigil 150 mg (armodafinil), both made by HAB Pharma. Unless you state a preference, Afinil says it sends half of each.

How much does the combo pack cost?

On October 22, 2026, Afinil listed it from $169 for 100 tablets to $3,999 for 5,000, or $1.69 down to $0.79 per tablet. Check the cart for current prices.

Is the combo pack cheaper than buying Modvigil and Artvigil separately?

Only if you'd otherwise buy two smaller packs. At the same total quantity, the per-tablet price matches the single-brand packs. Fifty of each bought separately was listed at $198, against $169 for a 100-tablet combo.

Can I choose the split?

Afinil says you can specify your combo preference; if you don't, it defaults to 50% Modvigil and 50% Artvigil.

Does the combo include Modalert or Waklert?

No. Afinil says this pack doesn't include Modalert, Waklert or sublingual Modafil MD. Its Saver Pack is the Sun Pharma equivalent.

Can I take Modvigil and Artvigil on the same day?

No. They contain closely related drugs that do the same job. Taking both stacks the dose, and the labels advise against combining modafinil and armodafinil.

Is it legal to buy the combo pack?

Modafinil and armodafinil are Schedule IV controlled substances in the US and need a prescription. Buying them without one isn't legal, and US Customs can seize the parcels.

Who is the combo pack for?

Someone who already knows both drugs suit them, has a prescription, and wants to keep a supply of each. It's not a good first order.
